May’s happenings:

  • I took a much needed vacation (8 work days away, including Memorial Day): part of it was in FL with family and the other part a stay-cation here in Seattle.
  • We got new living room furniture in from Room and Board - our IKEA chairs served us well, but it was time for a proper living room.
  • My flight from Seattle to FL was the same night AEW wrestling held a show in Everett, WA. Buddy Matthews, Malachi Black, Mercedes Mone, and Swerve Strickland were all on my flight. I saw Adam Copeland in the Orlando airport.
  • My friend Jonathan visited us. We gallavanted all around Seattle. We ate at Serafina, Ludi’s, and Moore Coffee - all were excellent!
  • After Jonathan left, we also tried Chiho Bistro which had some wonderful dumplings and Dan Dan noodles.
  • I set new Personal Records in both deadlift 131 kg (290 lbs) and back squat 120 kg (265 lbs).
  • My bike rain gear was well utilized. I needed to pick up my bike from the bike shop, ride it to a repair class with Cascade Bicycle club, and ride it home. It poured down rain the entire day. It wasn’t the most fun, but I made it through mostly dry. I might look at getting one of those rain capes if I find myself riding in the rain a lot more.
  • I spent entirely too much time playing Far Cry 6 on Xbox Series X. The “amigos” characters are a lot of fun.
  • I went on a Cascade Bicycle Club group ride with Seattle YouTube bicycling celebrity Bob Svercl.
  • I finished reading Thrive and I started reading The China Study and The Engineering Executive’s Primer.
