Bye bye September. Photos:
Videos:
The last week or so in August we had visitors! Both Family and Friends! It was great seeing everyone.
End of August:
- We ate an amazing dinner at Seattle’s Alutra fine dining restaurant.
- We also visited Olympic National Park for the first time, hiking the Lake Angeles trail. We ate lunch at Little Devil’s Lunchbox.
September:
- We went on a pirate cruise of Lake Union with some friends.
- I finished reading All the Light We Cannot See and started Neuromancer.
- We said goodbye to my father’s dog Lucy. She was ~16 people years old. RIP.
- My back injury from August still flares up from time to time. My weightlifting workouts have been altered significantly to give some time to heal.
- We took a vacation to Wenatchee, WA. On the way we stopped in the very Bavarian flavored Leavenworth, WA. Wenatchee felt like a PNW version of Paducah, KY - a good thing!
- I watched the Seattle Symphony perform one of my favorites: Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony! The performance was breathtaking. The brass section played incredibly well and the conductor’s attention to detail showed me parts of the piece I never heard.
