March and April 2026
·2 mins
March and April were quite busy! I traveled enough that I skipped writing a March update. Oops. I’ll try harder to do an update at the end of May.
- Things at the new condo are settling down. It’s not 100% the way we want it to be, but we made a lot of progress in the last couple of months. I have to remind myself that we just got here in February.
- Spring is here! We continued the annual tradition of visiting University of Washington’s Cherry Blossom trees.
- I traveled a lot for both business and leisure.
- I love watching high stakes sporting events like the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament or the NBA Playoffs. Let’s just say I have watched a shitload of basketball lately, and I’m enjoying it a lot.
- Allergies wrecked me most of April. I’m finally recovered and looking forward to an amazing summer in the PNW.
- Related: Court of Gold on Netflix is a documentary about the 2024 USA Basketball team. It’s been a fun watch.
- I started reading The Book of the New Sun - it’s been so enjoyable, and a fairly challenging read on a few levels. I read the first 3 books over March and April, and just started Book 4 of 5. There is a reason this series is on the GOAT Fantasy lists.
- My shoulder injury cleared up. Hell yes! All of the travel was disruptive to making much progress lifting, but that’s mostly cooled down. I’ve got a goal to hit 315 lbs deadlift by late June.
- We enjoyed a nearby Spanish fine dining restaurant La Loba.
