November 2025

·1 min

Spoiler for next month: I’m writing this from MCO while a flight is delayed. November was… a lot, but in a good way.

On Halloween, we flew a few thousand miles to Kauai to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The trip was great: sunshine, amazing scenery, and a week of disconnecting from other obligations and enjoying time together. We had a challenging return trip. Our red-eye departing flight was super-delayed. The staff ended up incentivizing 20 other passengers to depart before the weight of the plane was safe enough for the windy conditions and the airport’s short runway.

In other news, we put in our first offer on a condo. It was accepted! We’re still going through the seemingly never-ending remaining steps to purchase but it looks like we will be homeowners in early 2026.

Other notables:

  • Books: I read Jon Moxley’s autobiography “Mox”. It was fun.
  • I missed the Rainbow City Concert Band performance because of our Hawaii trip. I’m planning to do a Christmas performance in December.
  • My shoulder injury recovery is improving, slowly.
