July 2025
July was a banger. Overall, an incredibly fun month. There were some family health issues that made things rough at times. Luckily, we’re on the other side of them.
July, in bullet list form:
- L and I went to South Lake Union Park to watch the July 4th fireworks show.
- I played the game The Messenger on Nintendo Switch, thanks for the recommendation MM-W.
- My friend JW came to town. We had a wonderful meal at Chiho Bistro and went on a Hot Tub Boat. We had bigger plans for a hike, but unfortunately didn’t get to do that this time around. We did see a bald eagle on the hot tub boat.
- R and I went to SOS Wrestling in Tacoma. It was another fun show! I made a sign in support of Mojo, the monkey wrestler. The sign read: “Pray 4 Mojo”, an homage to The Simpsons.
- I went on a nice bike ride on the newly finished Seattle Waterfront bicycle infrastructure.
- We saw Randy Brecker and Charged Particles at Dmitrou’s Jazz Alley. This concert was from a gift card for my birthday from L, what a wonderful time!
- I went to a picnic for the trombone players in RCPA. I also performed at Seattle’s All City Band Jam, which was a lot of fun.
- My right shoulder is still injured. I’m doing PT on it. I did PR leg press with 405 lbs for 12 reps and I PRed several multi-rep sets, but no new 1RMs.
- R and I tackled Three Boroughs at Rainier National Park. The nature and conversations we had were great.
