February 2026 was the first time in my life I noticed a calendar month an even 7x4: Feb 1 was on a Sunday, Feb 28 was on a Saturday. I’ll miss February 2026’s symmetrical calendar. The next time this happens will be 2037.
We moved to our new condo in February 2026. Moving is Rough. I’m glad February 2026 is done. We spent a lot of time unpacking, getting used to our new place, and Just Grinding It Out. While we made a ton of progress on our new place in February, the last 1% of work feels like another mountain to climb.
A list of things that happened:
- I traveled to SF for work in February (and January too!). I saw an ad for Lambda (my employer) in the Seattle airport which felt surreal!
- A friend came home from Japan and gave me toy data center components. I want a full set now!
- We had a nice breakfast at Cafe Champagne in Pike Market.
- Because of the move, the travel, and some work deadlines I took a break from Rainbow City Concert band. I’ll try and find another ensemble once things calm down.
- My nagging shoulder injury is gone.
- I read Children of Ruin. It was a lot of fun.
- Did I mention moving is hard?
